Grandma Bice Mungai opened her first inn in San Pietro
all’Orto line.
The place was immediately loved because of the savoury kitchen
and the woman’s cordiality, as she was the pioneer of
importing the Tuscan kitchen in Milan.
Once she moved in Borgospesso line in 1939, her restaurant
became a point of reference for the Milan of important and
social circles (show, football and fashion) and its name was
exported even beyond the oceans.
The founder died in 1996 and now the prosperous factory is
lead by her granddaughters, Roberta and Beatrice.
Beatrice’s husband, Vincenzo Mazzone, has been in the kitchen
since the eighty’s. |
